Located about 15 minutes drive west of Paphos, along the Tomb of the Kings Road, Coral Bay is a 600m crescent of soft white sand, book-ended by a pair of headlands. The beautiful beach and calm waters make for an ideal beach holiday for all the family. The beach satisfies all requirements providing the opportunity to laze in the warm sunshine or enjoy the numerous water sports on offer.
The facilities around the beach are first class and Coral Bay was selected as the base for Team GB prior to the 2004 Athens Olympics.
Coral Bay is family-friendly and the local restaurants cater for all tastes in both cuisine and ambience. Visitors are spoilt for choice. There are a few livelier bars, however if you want a big night out then head for nearby Paphos and get a return taxi in the small hours.
Coral Bay is a great base for exploring the coastline to the north including the Akamas peninsula, where a jigsaw of coves and inlets hide some of the best (and most isolated) beaches on the island. Don’t expect to find much in the way of refreshments and pack a well-stocked picnic hamper and plenty of sun cream.
