Pissouri Bay is situated about 3kms away from Pissouri village. The beach has an EU blue flag, and there are a number of restaurants, bars and mini-markets in the immediate vicinity.
Pissouri Village, about a five-minute drive from the beach, is set up on a hill commanding stunning 360-degree views. It is a traditional, quaint Greek village comprising a cluster of tranquil stone buildings. There are many small, personal tavernas, a few shops, and a church. The local people are extremely friendly and helpful. At night, there is a relaxed and calm atmosphere, away from crowds and nightclubs. Eating out is relatively inexpensive and the local wines are delicious.
Pissouri offers a variety of holiday options. It is an ideal place to relax and unwind enjoying the pleasures of the beach and surrounding countryside. About 3 miles west of Pissouri is Petra tou Romiou, the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite, a beautiful stretch of coastline with a spectacular rocky outcrop.
For the sports minded visitor, there are a number of first class facilities available including sailing, scuba diving, water skiing, windsurfing, kite-surfing, canoeing, jet-skiing, horse riding, walking, fishing and cycling. Golf is available ten minutes away at The Secret Valley Golf Course with its par 72, 6,000-metre course, driving range, practice greens and pro shop.
